lcp on the teabagger march

in Washington.

Here is the comment I sent him:

"what did you think of those signs that said "Bury Obamacare with Kennedy"? And the confederate flags?"

We will see if he posts it! Don't get your hopes up!

  1. My friend LCR probably won't bother, but I will answer your question. The Bury Obamacare was in poor taste and I have to wonder if it was another of the many leftist set-ups. You do know that liberal union thugs have attended previous tea parties with outrageous signs just to provide fodder for the leftwing press.

As for Confederate flags, they mean different things to different people. As a member of Sons of Confederate Veterans, I see it as a symbol of my family, history and heritage. There were very few of such flags at the rally and again, this could be a setup by the Left to create a false controversy.

To know the true intent of anyone carrying a Confederate flag, you would have to ask them. For many, it is a flag of rebellion and independence; only to the naive, uneducated and narrow minded is it a flag of racism, and anyone who uses it for that purpose is a slimeball.

  2. To "Stogie": I am glad we agree the "Bury Obamacare with Kennedy" signs were in poor taste (as you delicately put it.) They were apparently distributed in the crowd by the American Life League, which, at last glance, was not a liberal front group.
As for the Confederate flag, I think I will not pursue the matter. The flag means vastly different things to you than it does to me. It means vastly different things than it does to the overwhelming majority of African-Americans. In light of all the other things we have to worry about, I am not going to pursue the issue.
