Yesterday I suffered the humiliation of being banned from yet another right-wing blog,
This one is called JaneQRepublican, and it is run by a conservative lady in North Carolina who appears to have Objectivist tendencies. JaneQ has been unusually forbearing for over a month, but she finally snapped when I had the temerity to post a comment brazenly demeaning our nation’s military. Specifically, JaneQ had posted a report on her road trip to Washington last week to join Michelle Bachmann’s Teaparty protest against health care reform. Her post mentioned that during the protest she had encountered an elderly WWII veteran who had come, in his wheelchair, to join the crowd with its signs depicting the President of the United States as Little Black Sambo and claiming that health reform was part of a global plot by Jewish banking interests.
“He is still fighting for freedom from tyranny,” Janeq declaimed. “And now, so am I.”

Inspiring, isn’t it?
I responded to Janeq’s moving remarks by noting that her wheelchair-bound vet had been the recipient of decades of government-funded healthcare, either through the VA system or through Medicare. Yet there he was, having wheeled himself all the way to Washington, demonstrating on the steps of the Capital against providing other American families with the type of healthcare he had received!
That was it for Janeq. I was bounced from her blog later that day.
